I don't know if this thread impacted Apple and Google in their decision to
move forward with privacy-preserving Bluetooth LE based contact tracking,
as suggested on this thread, but I can say at least some Googlers saw this,
and regardless of who got the idea from where, Yay!

If there is anything folks would like me to pass along, I likely can get it
to the right folks.  AFAICT, they basically have the details right in the
design, based on the public sources I see.  As usual, I learned about this
from the news, not internal channels.
