Hello friends,

I am excited to inform you that today we are holding a very first
National Conference on Digital Surveillance and Privacy Rights in
Islamabad,  Pakistan in partnership with Privacy International.  We
will explore the right to privacy in digital age and the
privacy/surveillance laws and practices in Pakistan. Among the
panelists we have Member of National Assembly, member of Senate,
journalists, civil society, techies and human rights defenders. Ben
Wagner, an international expert on surveillance technologies and part
of the Coalition Against Unlawful Surveillance Exports (CAUSE) will
also deliver a talk. Waqqas Mir, a lawyer from Lahore, will present a
white-paper on surveillance laws in Pakistan. Please check out the
