Hey all,

I responded to Diani in more detail with the short answer that there is stuff that you can deploy right now, however these technologies aren't a perfect fit to the situation in Cuba, and could be significantly refined to offer a lot more features as well as be made much more secure. I have started looking at bringing it all together so that bidirectional communication with twitter or other SMS users outside cuba is possible but have issues relating to actually getting devices into cuba, and funding the whole enterprise, both in the short term and long term. Ideally once this sort of thing is built you could offer it all over the place, as a way to relay twitter or text messages into places all over the world, specifically where short codes are not offered or texting internationally is prohibitively expensive.
