Hi,
I've been reviewing some chat clients and in the process, I've been
trying to improve this page:
https://help.riseup.net/en/chat-clients
Currently, I think the next release of Gajim is probably the best bet
for a really safe jabber chat client - OTR, Tor, TLS - all of these
things are under pretty active development and the developers are really
responsive.
Jitsi is listed as insecure because its TLS support is insecure. My
understanding is that it isn't secure against an active
Man-In-The-Middle attacker.
All the best,
Jake
