*** Article 19’s Latest Report on the Public’s Right to Know During
COVID-19 ***

The report is intended to assist governments, civil society, and media
in identifying key information and data that should be released based on
experiences from across the world during this pandemic and previous crises.

*** Give Feedback to SAFETAG! ***

Internews is currently working on redesigning SAFETAG and developing a
new and improved interface. If you consider yourself a SAFETAG auditor
(whether new or experienced), we would love to get your feedback
incorporated in the design process. We will be hosting two open feedback
calls on May 19 and 21, as well as collecting feedback through a survey
that will be open until May 29, 2020.

*** Zanga, the Interactive Arabic Platform for Choosing Digital Security
Apps Launches! ***

Available as a website and an Android app, Zanga is a platform for
everyday Internet users to explore, download, use and rate tools in
Arabic. Zanga prioritizes open-source tools and those that are tried and

*** The Tor Project Released their Latest Alpha Version of the Tor
Browser ***

The latest alpha version of the Tor Browser includes a human-readable
URL for The Intercept's SecureDrop server.

*** Apply before May 21 for Research &  Advocacy Grants from the Cyrilla
Collaborative! ***

The CYRILLA Collaborative will be awarding 5 grants of $5,000 to
organizations and individuals, based in the Middle East and North
Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa,
to pilot small-scale applied research, journalistic, or advocacy
initiatives committed to expanding the knowledge on digital rights
legislation and case law.
