*** Calling All Womxn of Color Working in Tech ***

Tech Intersections currently has a call for proposal. It is an
affordable conference for womxn of color most underrepresented in tech
to come together and learn from each other’s successes, challenges and
experiences. It will take place on  Saturday, January 25, 2020, in
Oakland, CA.

*** Updates from Kashmir Blackouts ***

India's Supreme Court, which is reviewing a petition for the immediate
withdrawal of severe government restrictions in Kashmir, has said that
the security crackdown and communications blackout in the region should
continue.

*** New Report! Resurgence of Internet Censorship in Ethiopia* **

OONI, in collaboration with Moses Karanja and Berhan Taye, just
published a research report documenting ongoing censorship events in
Ethiopia. The report is a follow-up to their previous study, documenting
the blocking of WhatsApp and Telegram in Ethiopia in mid-June 2019.
