*** IFF Fellowship: Time is Running Out!! ***

Don’t forget to apply to IFF’s Community Development Fellows program!

*** Weekly Virtual Glitter Meetup ***

Every Thursday at 10am EST join us for a Glitter Meetup on IFF’s
Mattermost Square channel. Say hello to new and old friends, update
folks on your projects, and ask all the digisec questions your heart
desires. In the future Glitter Meetups will have featured guests and
updates on the best methods to apply glitter. The first meetup is August

*** Malware Campaign Targeting Tibetan Civil Society ***

A new report by Citizen Lab looks at a 2018 malware campaign targeting
Tibetan Civil Society. The campaign is part of a wider operation called
“Tropic Trooper.” Among those targeted include Tibetan activists and
journalists.

*** Google Welcome in China but Must Comply with Censorship ***

Google is welcome to return to China—but only if it complies with the
censorship regime enforced by the government’s internet regulator, state
media reported this week. The Intercept has reported that the company is
developing a censorship-friendly version of its search engine.
