[EventStrategy] Movement mapping facilitation ideas?

Hi fellow Event Strategists!

Question for the hivemind ...

Have any of you seen (or facilitated) good models for mapping the various
capacities, strategies, and/or gaps of a field through a participatory,
in-person exercise? I'm organizing an event of around 50 people from
different organizations in an emerging field and hoping to plan something
that helps everyone build a collective picture of who's doing what but also
what's needed/missing.
