[Bigdatasur] AI in the Global South Research Project: Invitation to Participate

Greetings from Ithaca! I am a Postdoctoral Scholar
<https://datasociety.net/people/singh-ranjit/> at the Data & Society
Research Institute <https://datasociety.net/> working broadly on emergent
sociotechnical concerns around building and deploying digital ID
infrastructures and AI-based interventions in the Global South. Along these
lines, I am starting a project mapping the conceptual vocabulary of
research on digital IDs and AI in the Global South.


Specifically, I ask: *What are the concepts and keywords that existing and
new research publications as well as expert researchers and practitioners
use in talking about designing and appropriating digital IDs and the role
of AI for development in the Global South?* Attached is a bit more
background on my project and the interviews I am seeking to conduct..


I would greatly appreciate participation of the members of this research
