I am already working on getting a statement from a UK solicitor on the
matter and he is very familiar with internet matters so he's very
familiar with all the technology involved and Tor (he is my solicitor
I should note, it isn't like I have approached an independent expert
for an opinion).

If US nodes are unable to operate without the blocklist, and a person
does encounter a blocked page, we could offer both the option of
perhaps redirecting to a non-blocking one and of course recommend
downloading Tor Browser themselves.

On the idea of blocklists, I know arma is particularly unhappy about
the malware which encrypts files and sends people to visit hidden
services to pay bitcoin in order to release the files. If blocklists
are going to be developed, the idea of splitting them up may be a good
idea as Fabio points out and in countries where there is mandatory
blocks, people can pick only what applies to them (ie, child porn,
fraud, content lockers, drug sites).

I don't plan on visiting the US ever again so I am more than happy to
put two fingers up and do whatever I can in the name of freedom and
democracy :)
