Hey Folks,
SeaGL has generously offered us a table/booth and we need people
to staff it. Don't worry! You don't need to be an board member, or
organizer to staff the booth - just passionate and slightly more informed
than the general public. Better to have someone at the table who knows a
little than an empty booth with some stickers!
Speaking of which - if you've got stickers, flyers etc - please
bring them Fri am if you can, or whenever you can. My supply is depleted.
Even some home-printed brochures or small paper handouts would be helpful.
I'm not aware of a "more private" way to organize this than
SignupGenius, but if you know of one I'll consider switch (and/or if
you could go ahead and create the signup that would be helpful - I'm
speaking at SeaGL and hella busy!)

And the full blurb:
Help us reach out to FOSS fans, advocates and students at Seattle Central
College for SeaGL 2017. SeaGL has generously given us a booth (table) for
both days, and this is a great opportunity to reach a bunch of passionate
fans of open source software, documents, and freedom!
Please help!
Even if you aren't a regular TA3M attendee, or organizer, or haven't been
on the Seattle Privacy Coalition email list for long, you can still help
by staffing the table. Mostly you'll be giving away swag, and talking to
people - if you don't know something that is okay! You can always direct
people to our mailing lists, particularly the SPC Board and TA3M
Organizers with questions.
* Look at our website(s) to make sure you know a bit more than the general
public about us
* Seattle Privacy Coalition formed about when Seattle Police Department
got a drone - and helped get rid of it!
* Seattle Privacy Coaltion has worked with the city on it's
groundbreaking Privacy Initiative
* and against the city on surveillance cameras, Shotspotter and more.
* Techno Activism 3rd Mondays meets.. on the third Monday of most months.
We should be on in October, but we likely won't be in November, given it
is the week of Thanksgiving.
* we're always looking for speakers, and suggestions for speakers you'd
like to hear
* we could use a recurring, free, activist-friendly venue, as Tor HQ is
no longer available
