It still does.

Posts about the Community Technology Advisory Board or Privacy
Sub-Committee, or equivalent regarding King County are still welcome!

Ditto for any other cities in the state. Don't let "group name"
(nominally, TA3M Seattle) fool you.

Ditto for state-level concerns, as the TA3M that regularly meets in
Seattle is AFAIK the only TA3M in the entire state! (but doesn't need to
be.. feel free to start one anywhere else!)

As for relevance to King County (or anywhere else really) - the creation
of the CTAB, and the Privacy sub-committee, as well as privacy municipal
legislation in Seattle are the result of hard-fought activist battles. Now
that they exist (Seattle claims the privacy policy as a first in the
country!), they are extremely relevant as a model for anywhere else. You,
or other residents of non-Seattle King County can easily point to them and
say "why don't we have this" at your council meetings, and in letters to
your council members.

And if you'd like additional advice for how to proceed, you've got the
best possible resources.. locally! Imagine if you were in some
unincoporated county in Montana. I wouldn't be too surprised if you could
convince some of us to meet up with you in person for coffee to
strategize.

Of course, you can always email - but please be constructive, rather than
complaining about what Seattle has that you want.

Definitely not. Seattle is on the cutting edge of city privacy concerns in
many ways, and that is in no small part due to the concentration of
activists living in the city. But TA3M Seattle was founded by someone who
lived outside of Seattle!

Your ally,

Paul, TA3M Seattle organizer, currently living in Nebraska, and still
working hard for privacy in Seattle specfically, and not opposed to
putting in some time/effort on King County. Make a direct request!
