Sounds like a "cart before horse" problem. 

Are disaster venture capitalists (Amazon-WaPo included?) now becoming prone to
thinking too much about their own bank accounts whilst in 'home stay
self-isolation'? 

Perhaps they ought to instead focus hearts and minds on developing digital
and/or scientific tools 'for the people' starting with testing and medical
equipment (e.g. ventilators).
