I'm a hobbyist and read a few books but not practiced extensively. I've
read Nonviolent Communication, which becomes a particular form of
transformative mediation when you get into it.
NVC is designed to be able to enter any situation in a way that supports
the people in that situation, but it needs to be done by someone who has
experience doing so in the particular situation.
Unfortunately it is not widely addressed that this experience is often
gained by error rather than planning.
Is that maybe what you are talking about?
I don't have the capacity to address all this but it sounds like you have
been exposed to some situations where attempts to support people have
inadvertently hurt them. It would be wonderful to provide for learning
around that, to prevent it.
