I've read Nonviolent Communication, which becomes a particular form of transformative mediation when you get into it.<div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">NVC is designed to be able to enter any situation in a way that supports the people in that situation, but it needs to be done by someone who has experience doing so in the particular situation.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Unfortunately it is not widely addressed that this experience is often gained by error rather than planning.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Is that maybe what you are talking about?</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I don't have the capacity to address all this but it sounds like you have been exposed to some situations where attempts to support people have inadvertently hurt them. Agreed. I've seen be ruinous in activist movements I've been involved<br>
with, presently a struggle in several large chapters of Extinction Rebellion.<br>
It's important to understand that many don't want less conflict, rather more of<br>

Just as a burglary is not 'a dispute over property', seeking to mediate between<br>
a community and a troll group only nourishes a culture of abuse. Re-framing an<br>
attack as a 'perspective' is a device diversely employed by the far and 'alt'<br>
right.<br>
