Our 98-year-old neighbor Mel enlisted in the U.S. Navy after Pearl Harbor and
fought in the Pacific Theater. He survived the war, including Typhoon Cobra,
which almost decimated the U.S. fleet.
Mel turns 99 in August of this year. All of Mel's family is dead, except for his
92-year-old wife, who has dementia.
Before dying 4 years ago, Mel's sister emailed him the contact information for
some 1st cousins of theirs.
Unfortunately, Mel has locked himself out of his Yahoo email, so he cannot
access those emails any more.
Mel would dearly love to see whether he has any family left in the world. He
does not have a cell phone. He only has a landline. And I cannot go over to
Mel's house to help him due to the social isolation of COVID-19.
Every time we bring groceries to Mel and his wife, he mentions how he wishes I
could help him regain email access.
Do you or does somebody you know work for Yahoo and in a position to help?
If so, I am sure Mel would be deeply grateful for your help.
Thank you!Yosem Companys
