Hi, Brian! Thanks for sharing your time and efforts with the world! :D
It's always great to hear about new projects in the whole world, so I
will use your message to invite all the other members of LibTech
community to share news and projects using technology to make better
our world. And, of course, news and information about how
technological resources can be unfortunately used against the society
too.
A simple example: - I do love drones. They are amazing and can help
researchers in several ways, but I always feel miserable, really bad,
when they are used for spying, for brutally violating the privacy of
people. :(
Zack - copied in this message - sent in private a brilliant and short
analysis of Kenya's political situation and how it can affect the
development of the country in all aspects, including the technological
one. I would like to learn more about the tech situation in other
countries in a personal perspective, not necessarily under a technical
or academic point of view. I was trying to write a little about
Brazil to give him an answer, but... uh, sorry! Being sincere, my
post was stinking so much I was afraid my neighbors could think I was
hiding a corpse in my notebook. I will try to write something less
stinky later, I promise. :)
Well, the usual pattern of oppressive governments in the whole world
is to cut and/or to censure the Internet, the freedom of the press,
and the communication in general. There are great projects being
created to avoid this kind of situation and all of them need our help.
If you have an idea or know some good project, please share it with
the community. And if you need help with your own project, ask for
help. Do not feel the fear of being judged or criticized. You can
not receive a public answer, but can have a good surprise in private.
I always receive great feedbacks in private. Also some offenses, but
it's part of being alive, haha!! ;)
Tender hugs and millions of little kisses from Brazil! Take care and
have a great and happy life, dear all! <3
Ceci
PS: - Yep, millions of kisses seem too much, but you can stock them
to the sad or needy moments... You can get a daily little kiss with
your coffee or tea to make you smile, or put some of them in your
pocket or purse to use when necessary. Be happy and feel special:
you received millions of Nippo-Brazilian kisses!!! :D
PS's PS: - If you hate me and don't want my kisses, donate them.
Donating love is always a good idea! <3
