Hi everyone,

My name is Phil, and I am a board member of Solidarity Uganda which
organized a #WebWeWant campaign alongside you all. Ours was with cafe
owners, media, local leaders, and CBOs.

Apart from being a board member of Solidarity Uganda, I write for a few
international publications with progressive readerships.

I am sure some of you are aware of what is happening in Anglophone Cameroon
currently. I am trying to get my editors to buy into the idea of running a
piece about creative ways Africans of various parts of the continent are
advocating for internet rights (increased access, affordability, ending
censorship/blackouts).

If you have participated in any creative initiative to advocate for such
internet rights, I want to hear from you. Shoot me an email with a brief
background to your efforts (and/or links) and I will follow up with a few
questions.

Keep up the great work. In Uganda here, we still have a long way to go and
a government that is not prioritizing the internet infrastructure. We are
working with one MP to help table legislation, but it is moving slowly.
