Hi Liberationtech,
We are four weeks out from LibrePlanet 2017 and I wanted to make sure
interested parties on this list knew about it.
LibrePlanet is a free software conference organized by the Free Software
Foundation and the Student Information Processing Board at MIT. It
brings together a diverse community of developers, policy experts,
activists, students, and users who care about user freedom.
LibrePlanet takes place March 25-26th, at MIT in Cambridge, MA. There
will be keynotes delivered by Kade Crockford (American Civil Liberties
Union of Massachusetts), Richard Stallman (Free Software Foundation),
Cory Doctorow (author), and Sumana Harihareswara (Changeset Consulting).
In addition to 40 sessions on topics relating to art and free cultural
works, communities, free software philosophy, legal and policy issues,
and technical innovation and development, there will be hands-on
workshops, Birds of a Feather sessions, a reception, and hundreds of
other free software contributors and enthusiasts to talk and hack with.
You can [read more about LibrePlanet](https://libreplanet.org/2017), and
[register
online](https://my.fsf.org/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=47).
Registration costs $60 for one day or $90 for both days, but students
and FSF members attend gratis.
I hope to see you there!
