Dear Participant,
I invite you to participate in a research study entitled: "The Benefit Patterns from Libraries in Virtual Community*: A Survey and evaluative Study." I am currently enrolled in the Cairo University, Faculty of Arts, Department of Libraries, Documents and Information technology, and I am in the process of writing my Master’s thesis. The purpose of the research is to determine: the features of libraries’ users in Second Life, their information needs patterns, how they benefit from library services that they received, obstacles that they face and their suggestion to develop better library services.
Your participation in this research project is completely voluntary. You may decline altogether, or leave blank any questions you don’t wish to answer. Your responses will remain confidential and anonymous. Data from this research will be kept under lock and key and reported only as a collective combined total. No one other than the researcher will know your individual answers to this questionnaire.
If you agree to participate in this project, please answer the questions on the questionnaire as best you can. It should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please complete the questionnaire as soon as possible and send it back.
If you have any questions about this project, feel free to contact the researcher at the enclosed email address.
Thank you for your assistance in this important endeavor.
