Dear Liberation Tech Colleagues,

(Putting on my "consultant to Annkissam" hat.)

Please check out this bloggerview on the Annkissam web site; it's with
David Bresnahan, Nuestra Comunidad's director of resource development and
marketing:

In the nonprofit sector, the practice of knowledge management is just
getting started. I find that many nonprofits have significant challenges
that knowledge management could address; however, they are put off by the
unfamiliar language. Here's a great definition of the term, from Rachael
Stark, an information librarian and knowledge management expert here in the
Boston area:

"Knowledge management is the process of choosing and
using tools andsystems to effectively gather, organdize, share,
and use information; of and topic and any type; within and
between individuals, organizations, and groups."

If you want to know more about knowledge management (a/k/a "KM") for
nonprofits, please also check out this web site, which was created by
Annkissam:

I also hope that you'll respond to this message by sharing your questions
about, concerns about, and adventures in knowledge management with the
group!

Best regards from Deborah
