> We are looking for an exceptional individual for the position of research assistant (pre-doc) at the Media Governance, Media Industries, Media Organisation Research Group (Chair: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Katharine Sarikakis) to conduct research in the field of Media Governance.
> The successful candidate will join an international, interdisciplinary team of researchers.
>  Fixed term: 4 years
> Employment: 30.0 hours/week
>  Areas of work:
> - Participation in research, teaching and administration
> - Contribution to research projects
> - Research assistantship to the Chair and the Media Governance Research Group
> - Contribution to organisation of conferences, meetings, symposiums, website content
> - Project application and (external) fundraising
> - Possibility to write a PhD dissertation
> - Examination activities
> - Support of students
> - Participation in administration of the department
> Profile:
> -       Postgraduate degree MA, MSc (or equivalent study) in communication studies and/or cognate discipline
> -       Fluency in English in writing and speaking
> -       Evidence of scholarly activity, including publications, presentations, consultancy etc
> -       Interest in and ability to maintain and cater for web based content as a matter of making research available to broad publics
> -       Interest in Media Governance issues, such as privacy and democracy, internet governance and rights, policy, regulation, legal aspects
> -       Ability to work in a team
> -       Ability to time self-management
>
