University Seminar Series is Open to the Public
Following an overview of the current state of the entrepreneurial
ecosystem of South Korea, David Lee, Co-Founder & Partner at Kstartup,
will discuss how government and private sector incubation and
acceleration programs are aiming to improve international
competitiveness, growth, and exit opportunities for Korean startups.
Joining David on the panel will be Claire Chang, Managing Director of
Ignite XL, and Jung-Chull Lee, Senior Associate at Reed Smith, LLP.
Specific new developments to be discussed include the upcoming opening
by Google of Campus Seoul, its first space in Asia for startups to
hold events and networking. Google has already opened similar spaces
in London, Tel Aviv, Warsaw and Sao Paulo. Our panel will also
address new Korean government support programs for startups and other
private sector programs to connect Korean startups with Silicon Valley
and other overseas resources and markets.
