**Opportunity at Treasury**

** **

This is an opportunity to be an “entrepreneur in residence” making a
difference on issues that are national priorities, such as helping
consumers make decisions about mortgages and student loans. You will help
lead the Obama Administration’s Finance Data Initiative, an effort to
release Federal data sets that entrepreneurs and others can use to build
data-driven apps and tools that help consumers take control of their
financial lives.****

We are looking for candidates from a range of backgrounds, including
technical cofounders, technology executives, policy/law experts, and other
innovators. The role will involve a range of challenges that require
creativity, tenacity, and passion—such as opportunities to:****

-- Contribute a first-class technology expert’s perspective to high-impact
policy initiatives****

-- Manage technology projects that accelerate Treasury’s open data agenda
(such as the Consumer.Data.gov <http://consumer.data.gov/> platform)
(although we welcome policy/law experts, too)****

-- Liaise with entrepreneurs, VCs, and other innovators to encourage the
market to innovate using our data and to solicit ideas and perspectives to
inform our policy agenda.****
