Hi,

The following link was passed along to me, http://ge.tt/8cgzzUF/v/0 - It is a Russian "defence technologies" publication from "the ARMS-TASS News Agency" from 2003.

Page 3 outlines Russia's relationship (at time of writing, 2003) with Syria and its mentions the "prospects for development are very hopeful." This in itself does not point to any concrete connection, but it may backup previous statements about Russia's "involvement".

Page 34-35 & 38 outline Russian electronic warfare hardware, Avtobaza ELINT station and the AKUP-1. Pages 40 details a Russian company who design and build communications monitoring kit. (It does not go into much detail but gives an outline as to capabilities).

Has anyone on this list ever come across the magazine before? Or knows where a more up-to-date edition could be found? It seems like the Russian version of JDW.

thanks
Bernard
