Hi,
If you have an organization that needs tech help, we might be able to help
you!
Code the Change will have one more event in winter, 2012: our Dance
Marathon Code Jam. This will be a 24 hour event, from 1pm on Saturday,
2/11 to 1pm on Sunday, 2/12. The event will be at the Arrillaga Alumni
Center.
The information that you need to sign up is at
http://codethechange.org/organizations. Our guidelines for a Code Jam project
are at http://codethechange.org/organizations/code-jams and the
registration itself
is at http://codethechange.org/organizations/code-jam-application. We will
post data from your registration on Sunday, 2/5 (in one week), so you
should get your registration in this week.
Like our last event, this event will follow a free-form model where coders
choose their projects at the start of the event. This means that it's up
to you to convince these coders to work on your project. In my experience,
coders are most likely to choose projects that have a representative
available for consultation (live is best, but over phone is okay) and that
have specific project guidelines (sketches and an interaction outline would
be great!).
Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to working with
you!
