DHT or PEX are used to reduce usage of "tracker" server, which in
previous version of protocol used to coordinate peers.
Introducing DHT, every peer could do as tracker itself, so they aren't
needed (and I never mentioned they on my previous post).
I talked about "torrent" file, which contains information on how many
pieces (and their hash) the original file has, plus some metadata
information, which you need to download something with bittorrent
protocol.
