Agreed, which is why I said that while research has examined the
certification/legitimacy effects afforded by funding, it has not examined
the opposite.  Yet decertification/de-legitimization is equally likely.

To the best of my knowledge, the research has been conducted in the US,
Europe, and Israel, but not elsewhere.
