[liberationtech] Does anyone know anything about this app's security?

I find the idea of siloing activism into networks that lack a critical mass
of non-activists to be counterproductive. By communicating in the network,
you naturally limit messaging to the pre-initiated without apparently
gaining much in terms of discovery or privacy. For that matter, I think the
last population I would want to appeal to at times is the type of person
that would install an app to find new protests to attend. Immediately the
application stigmatizes the process of communication by being about
politics -- rather than a platform that is content neutral. I wish the
developer luck and appreciate their ambition, but I could never see this
used outside of small cliques of highly politicized individuals.
