[liberationtech] firsthand circumvention technology usage

hi all,

i was contacted by someone at the nytimes who is writing a story about
circumvention technologies. they came across the Next Net google
group<http://groups.google.com/group/building-a-distributed-decentralized-internet>
and
wanted to know if i knew of anyone actually using circumvention technologies
currently in a place like Syria, Iran or Libya. many of the people on our
list are developers of these tools, not activists abroad.

if anyone on this list has first-hand experience with these tools and wants
to talk to the nytimes, let me know and i'll be happy to connect you.
