The Draper Richards Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship funds selected
early-stage nonprofit organizations that are designed to grow and scale
rapidly. The funding package includes $300,000 over a 3-year period, as
well as business assistance and technical support. Grants are structured as
Fellowships to emphasize the importance of the entrepreneur in our selection
process. The Draper Richards Foundation's funding strategy is based on a
venture capital model and involves rigorous research and diligence on the
entrepreneur and the model before an investment is made. The Foundation's
founders, William H. Draper III and Robin Richards Donohoe, strongly believe
in the power of innovative and passionate individuals to change the world.

Draper Richards Fellowships are awarded to entrepreneurs who are visionary,
committed, creative, collaborative, principled, and have the skills to
manage a national or global organization. We seek to fund innovative models
that are sustainable and scalable, and accept proposals from a wide array of
service areas, including, but not limited to, education, youth and families,
the environment, arts, health, and community and economic development.

The Draper Richards Fellowships are highly selective. We only award six
fellowships per year so we can fully engage with our portfolio of grantee
organizations.
