*** Reminder: IFF is at capacity! Check your ticket status prior booking
any flights or accommodation***

Please remember to check your ticket status before you book any flights
or accommodations. To access the IFF you will need to provide your
Ticket ID, found in the IFF Ticket confirmation email, and on the IFF
Ticket view on the IFF Community Platform.

If you are still waiting to hear back from us regarding your ticket
request, we must share that it is very unlikely that you will be
receiving a ticket at this point (we wish we could you fit all of you in!).

If you have a ticket, but can no longer attend, please let us know ASAP.
Somebody in the wait list will be grateful!

*** Calling All Mentors ***
This year we will be featuring a Mentors Table, which will be available
throughout the day, all week long. It will provide individuals with an
opportunity to provide much needed advice, connections, and resources to
individuals that are new to the Internet Freedom space. If you are an
individual who has been in the community for a few years, pay it forward
by taking up a two hour shift! Reach out to us at

*** Early Registration on Sunday, March 31 ***
This year, we will be offering early registration the day before the
festival, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. This is a great time to beat the long
lines on Monday morning, and say hello to new and old friends. Make sure
to mark it on your calendar!


*** Meet the 2019 IFF Facilitators ***
This year, the IFF will be facilitated by two individuals with an
amazing track record in community building and a passion for creating a
positive and collaborative culture. Sharmin Hossain and Ali Gharavi will
be helping us spread the IFF joy throughout the week. Don’t miss out on
the amazing sessions they will be hosting, including the
not-to-be-missed Opening and Closing ceremonies!

*** These cultural activities will show you what Valencia has to offer
during the IFF ***
We have compiled a list of cultural activities to make the most of your
time in Valencia! From paddle surfing to paella-making, there’s plenty
going on beyond the walls of Las Naves. Make sure to book your
activities ahead of time, as they’ll be filling up fast! Don’t forget
that some of the activities have special discounts for IFF participants.

*** Report on Cuba blocking independent media amid 2019 constitutional
referendum by Open Observatory ***
Last 24th February, Cubans voted on a new constitution for the first
time in decades. Open Observatory has confirmed that websites of
independent news got blocked and that the ETECSA, Cuba’s only
telecommunications company, has changed its censorship techniques, now
censoring access to sites that support HTTP5 by means of IP blocking
