*** Happy New Year ***

To the wonderful people that make up the Internet Freedom community, we
hope 2019 brings wonderful, glittery things to you and yours! Here at
the IFF we feel so incredibly fortunate to call you our family and that
our job is to serve you.

*** IFF Journalists & Writers!! Open Call for Applications ***

NYU Journalism has two open calls for applications. The Reporting Award
award provides up to $12,500 for a significant work of journalism, in
any medium, on an under-reported subject in the public interest. The
Matthew Power Literary Reporting Award is a grant of $12,500 to support
the work of a promising early-career nonfiction writer on a story that
uncovers truths about the human condition.

*** Support IFF’s Diversity Efforts ***

Since 2017, the IFF Diversity and Inclusion Fund has supported more than
150 presenters from underrepresented groups in the Internet Freedom
field. This year alone, 274 potential presenters have asked to receive a
travel stipend in order to attend the 2019 IFF. Help us reach our goal
to ensure that all IFF speakers from underrepresented communities can
join us! Either donate or purchase one of our lovely "tigery" t-shirts!!

*** Help us Celebrate our Fifth Anniversary ***

We can’t believe IFF is 5 years old! As a community-run gathering,
celebrating IFF is really celebrating the beautiful people and networks
that make-up its tapestry. To help kick off the celebration, we are
looking for past IFF pictures that encompass what the IFF means to you!
Send us your best pictures that can be shared publicly, and we will
select 3 people with the best picture to receive a Valencia care
