*** Deadline for IFF Submissions Extended ***
The IFF has extended its call for proposals to Nov 19 - this is a hard
deadline! We think everyone has knowledge to offer, so make sure to send
in your submission ideas. In addition, individuals can apply directly
for travel support through the submission form. Have questions? Reach

*** Cities for Digital Rights ***
The cities of Barcelona, New York City, and Amsterdam have launched a
global Cities Coalition for Digital Rights to protect data sovereignty,
privacy, democracy, and universal access to the Internet.

*** Azerbaijan: the West's Romance with Enlightened Despots ***
IFF Fellow Arzu Geybulla, in an op-ed for the Institute of War and Peace
Reporting (IWPR), provides reflections on Azebaijan, the Khashoggi
murder, and why some ignore human rights abuses when lucrative energy
deals are involved.
