** Community Spotlight **
Are you looking to broaden your horizons and find interesting work

** Job Board **
One of the highlights of this weekly has now jumped to our website! This
week we launched the IFF Job Board at:

Please spread the word to all those in the market for a new candidate or
job opportunity. Any opportunities you send us will be featured in the
weekly and on our job board. As we’ve done in the past, we’ll continue
to list brand new openings in the weekly while keeping all current and
past positions on the job board for reference.
** Ford-Mozilla Open Web Fellows **
The Open Web Fellowship program empowers the next generation of open
Internet leaders and advocates by embedding them at leading human rights
and civil society organizations from around the world. Open Web Fellows
are an amazing and diverse group of cryptographers, community
organizers, educators and makers from around the world.

Open Source Bridge is an annual conference focused on building open
source community and citizenship through four days of technical talks,
hacking sessions, and collaboration opportunities. Participants include
developers, hardware hackers, community organizers, and people involved
in the business of open source.
* Allied Media Conference *

A collaborative laboratory of media-based organizing strategies. The
Allied Media Conference is a collaboratively designed event. Conference
content is curated with care every year by 100+ volunteer coordinators
of tracks, practice spaces, and network gatherings. The conference
features over 300 hands-on workshops, panels, film screenings, Detroit
tours, art and music events, strategy sessions, karaoke, bowling,
collaborative art and more! The conference brings together a vibrant and
diverse community of people using media to incite change: filmmakers,
radio producers, technologists, youth organizers, writers,
entrepreneurs, musicians, dancers, and artists. We define "media" as
anything you use to communicate with the world. You are a media-maker!
* SHA2017 *

SHA2017 is an international non-profit outdoor hacker camp/conference.
It is the successor of a string of similar events happening every four
years: GHP, HEU, HIP, HAL, WTH, HAR and OHM. Similar events are EMF 2016
in the UK, CCC Camp in Germany. The camp is organized for and by
volunteers from and around all facets of the international hacker
community. Knowledge sharing, technological advancement,
experimentation, connecting with your hacker peers and of course hacking
are some of the core values of this event.
