[Festival] I need glitter...and other wish list items :)

Habibis,

When the IFF started, no one knew that it would become the world wide
headquarter of the glitter fan club. Okay, not really, but it has become
an important symbol of what the IFF represents. Each of you individually
are brilliant and beautiful, but when grouped together you bring a type
of magick realism that reminds the world that change is possible. This
year is incredibly special and we need you more than ever.


********* Our Wishlist for You *********


*** We REALLY Need help with Setup on March 5 from 13h to 17h ***
On Sunday, March 5 starting @ 13h we need all available hands to come to
the venue to help us prep. This includes getting the rooms ready,
stuffing goodie bags, and more. This is an IFF tradition and lots of fun
since you get to hang out in the sun, listen to music, and meet other
participants.


*** Let us Know your Offsite Events ***
Our registration desk is constantly being asked where specific events
are taking place, including off site events. If you are hosting an event
that is *not* featured in the main program, please send us a quick email
with the details so we can better serve your participants. In addition,
it will help the IFF team how to better serve the community in the
future. For example, we may be able to add more space for self-organized
events in the future.


*** Please be a Good Host: O.M.G. We have 1200 Plus People Coming ***
We have "mucha gente" coming this year. This translates to: space *may*
be a bit tight. Please help people feel comfortable and welcomed. If
rooms are full, grab a few people and help lead a conversation in
another part of the venue, a nearby cafe, or park. Large events can be
awkward to navigate thus most people will appreciate your leadership in
ad hoc organizing.


**** Volunteer Needs ****
We are putting various "unclaimed" volunteer tasks in the wiki, such as:
* Facilitator for the Introvert Meetup, or
* Language translators for speakers.

*** Bring Face Glitter & Flowers ***
Seriously! Make a donation to our Glitter Unicorn Fund. Our small team
can no longer afford to keep up with the IFF demand. All glitter and
flowers will be used to decorate participants, and bring alegria.


*** Heads Up ***
Just a heads up that the opening ceremony is going to be AMAZING.
However, we will be hosting it in a space on the water near the official
venue. We will be sending you the info shortly!! Don’t miss it :)
