But Stef, I assure you neither Oktavia nor the others involved in
organizing this fest are uninformed. They are, dare I say, just trying to
be pragmatic -- albeit in ways that may be contradicting some of the
strongly held values here. Being polite is easy and more productive. Airing
strongly held beliefs is doubleplus good, specially if it leads to
productive outcomes.

I for one am interested to see Mattermost working, although I'm still
unsure which problem it is intended to solve that this mailing list doesn't.
