[EventStrategy] Design sessions that work in the moment at The Session Design Lab, March 24th & 25th

Hello Event Strategists,

We know many of you are deep in planning for spaces like RightsCon in Lusaka, Zambia <https://www.rightscon.org/>, ECF in Oxford <https://fairsay.com/campaigning-forum-2026-oxford/>, and other networked events where every session has to work hard – building relationships, surfacing insight, and moving people into action. The Session Design Lab is back, and it’s designed exactly for that kind of work.

In uncertain times, a clever title and tidy agenda aren’t enough. We need participant‑centric sessions that can flex with what’s happening in the room while still supporting the event's broader strategy and the networks around it. The Lab is a two‑day, hands‑on space to work on real sessions – whether that’s a RightsCon workshop, an ECF gathering, or another convening in your calendar.
Join us for The Session Design Lab on March 24th & 25th from 3–6pm UTC. Together, we’ll:
	•	Turn your idea for a RightsCon, ECF, or other event session into a concrete, participant‑centred design.
	•	Explore simple, practical ways to keep people engaged, included, and oriented towards shared outcomes.
	•	Use adult learning frameworks like ADIDS to shape sessions that can adapt in the moment without losing their core purpose.
	•	Get and give supportive peer feedback, and leave with tools you can reuse across your event portfolio.
We’re continuing our pay‑what‑you‑can model to keep it accessible for people working in and around these ecosystems.
