Hi Event Strategists,

Thanks to everyone who joined the first round of sessions we held on ‘How do we create safe spaces?’ on March 5th and 6th. They were super insightful sessions. Since we’ve received so many inquiries about the conversation and requests to participate, we thought we’d run another session on March 31st for 90 minutes at 3pm UTC (check your time zone <https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Event+Strategies+Network+-+How+Do+We+Create+Safe+Space&iso=20250331T15&p1=1440&ah=1&am=30>).

Key questions that came up in those initial sessions that we’d like to keep exploring:
How do we design for safety? How do we build participant-centric events from the ground up and ensure our agendas and sessions prioritise our participants’ needs?
How do we respond to external events impacting our participants’ ability to feel safe?

Of course, please let us know if you have any other angle or context you’d like to explore in this upcoming session.

If you know of anyone else who might benefit from participating in the session, please share. You can also point them to: https://www.fabriders.net/event-design-strategies-network/

Best,

Dirk & Sarah
