Greetings Resource Designers,

Betting many of you are currently planning and designing workshops and training to be delivered in 2023. I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to share some of our resources and alert you to our next Session Design Lab.

The Session Design Lab - is a two-day online workshop where you can improve your training and facilitation skills by interacting with adult learning methodologies and connecting with others on a similar journey. This will be the 13th edition of the Lab, and we have had over 200 participants. It will run on Feb 1st and 2nd from 15:00 to 18:00 UTC. Registration is 200 GBP - but as a way of saying thank you for contributing to this network, I’d like to offer you a 25% discount.

- - Go to: https://www.fabriders.net/session-design-lab/ - You’ll see a link that says, “enter promo code”, and please enter: SCHOLAR25. Other discounts are also available via the ‘apply for scholarship’ link at the bottom of the page.

If you are part of a team working together to design and deliver an event, training or any convening. In that case, we also offer The Event Design Lab - designed with you and your team to meet your specific needs and goals and is scheduled based on your team's availability. For more details and how to inquire, see: https://www.fabriders.net/event-design-lab/

And then other resources we’ve co-created with other facilitators and session designers:
Tips for designing a practical workshop session - this covers design essentials, from adult learning theory to formats that work. See: https://www.fabriders.net/session-design-tips/
The Session Design Canvas - A worksheet for planning your sessions. The first page helps out with prep and the second page helps with sequencing the session https://www.fabriders.net/canvas-v1/
The FabToolkit - a collection of curricula we’ve created for a variety of contexts - everything from Creating User Personas to Collecting SDG Data - https://www.fabriders.net/category/fabtoolkit/

Also, we offer free one-hour consultations for anyone who wants to talk about facilitation challenges they may have AND, of course, if anyone has an idea about collaborating on a workshop or a future event. Please get in touch.

I hope that’s helpful,

Dirk
