Dear colleagues,
we can’t wait to welcome you in Amsterdam for the kick-off event of the DATAGOV project, scheduled for March 26-27, 2026.
We are immensely grateful for your enthusiastic reply to our invitation, and we anticipate we will learn so much from each of you. In return we can promise—beyond the stimulating conversations in an awesome city—excellent company, food and drinks, and

We have amassed a powerhouse of amazing colleagues, as follows (alphabetical order, per first name. Apologies for the potentially partial affiliations):

  *

  *
Bidisha Chaudhuri (Amsterdam)
  *
Cecilia Passanti (Paris Cité)
  *
Fernando Filgueiras (Brazilian Ministry of Education)
  *
Jo Pierson (Hasselt)
  *
Louise Amoore (Durham)
  *
Marjolein Lanzig (Amsterdam)
  *
Mirca Madianou (Goldsmiths)
  *
Niels ten Oever (Amsterdam)
  *
Rob van Kranenburg (IEEE)
  *
Rocco Bellanova (VUB)

Unfortunately Mansi Kedia (World Bank) and Martin Tironi (Pontificia de Chile) had to cancel after initially confirming their participation due to competing institutional duties. This means that the arts programme initially planned for the evening of March 26 (also with the participation of our own Fieke Jansen) will be postponed to the spring. But we won’t get bored!

We have prepared this preliminary programme for our time together—still subject to tweaking. We expect some flexibility on your side, and hope to minimize your preparation time. Day 1 targets a smaller group, and is based your informal inputs and joint conversation. We will be joined by MaryJet, a live illustrator, which means you will probably become a cartoon character 😉

Closer to the date we will get back to you with some material to read (optional), and some more fine-tuned notes to prepare your interventions. In the meantime, thank you again and have a great weekend. Stefania for the DATAGOV team
