Dear Sruthi, thanks for taking leadership on this important but tedious task.
I think the blog post is ready to go.
Re: picture. It is not even our campus, maybe we can find a better one? But don’t worry too much.
I think we should present the team.
Description text (please add names in alphabetical order)
[start of text]
We are an interdisciplinary research project funded by the European Research Council, studying how governance through data infrastructures is reshaping liberal democracy. Using mixed methods, we explore the social and data lives of ordinary people in the EU and beyond—including Brazil, India, South Africa, and more—to support more just and accountable data futures. Our research focuses on four technology families: digital identity, biometrics, health technologies, and education technologies.
Team: [Name 1, PhD], [Name 2, Postdoc], [Name 3, artist-in-residence], [Name 4], [Name 5], [Name 6], [Name 7] — Principal Investigator: Stefania Milan.
Based at the Department of Media Studies, University of Amsterdam.
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Research Council Executive Agency. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them. This work is supported by ERC grant DATAGOV, Grant No.101142006

I would say in the coming day we feature one team member/day. Also in alphabetical order, me going last.

Dear All,
Please find attached our draft version for the blog post on DMI and a caption for LinkedIn post. Looking forward to your comments and feedback!
Any other suggestions on using pictures/graphs from the report for the blog post are super welcome!

Now, re: LinkedIn
Here’s the link to our LinkedIn page:
https://www.linkedin.com/company/datagovlab/
Few points I wanted to mention:
1.
Firstly, it had to be a company page because we are not standalone university to use the “Educational Institution” feature. Only University of Amsterdam for example can use this. It’s standard for all others to use “company”, doesn’t have a corporate connotation.
2.
I used “Higher Education” as a sub-category, there’s also an option to use “Research Services”. Usually independent think-tanks would use that option.
3.
Do you prefer the name of the page to be “DATAGOV” or “DATAGOV Lab”?
4.
In the About section, I added some placeholder text for now. When the website is updated, I can pick up revised text.
5.
Used one of the temporary logos from Meg
6.
For the banner, for now I just used the one that UvA has on its LinkedIn page.
Please feel free to give comments on any of these! I am doing this for the first time anyway :)
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Best regards,
Sruthi
