We are an interdisciplinary research project funded by the European Research Council, studying how governance through data infrastructures is reshaping liberal democracy. Using mixed methods, we explore the social and data lives of ordinary people in the EU
and beyond—including Brazil, India, South Africa, and more—to support more just and accountable data futures. Our research focuses on four technology families: digital identity, biometrics, health technologies, and education technologies.</div>
