Dear all

Last December (2018!), Big Data from the South hosted the immersive research workshop "Big Data from the South: Towards a Research Agenda” (Amsterdam, December 4-5).

We are happy to announce the release of the 30-page workshop report as part of the DATACTIVE Working Paper Series.
You can download the working paper [0] and check out the announcement [1] from the DATACTIVE website.

We wish to wholeheartedly thank all participants for sharing their ideas. We are particularly grateful to the workshop facilitators who contributed to the report, namely Anna Berti Suman (Tilburg University), Niels ten Never, Guillén Torres, Kersti R. Wissenbach and Zhen Ye (University of Amsterdam).

We hope this is just another stepping stone towards enlarging the debate on big data (and surveillance, datafication, artificial intelligence..) from a Southern perspective.
Enjoy!
Stefania and Emiliano
Ps The blog is hungry for your reflections and ideas! Please come forward :-)
