Thank you for your inquiry! I'm happy to help you with this.

A place you could start looking are the notebooks in the examples directory.

Jupyter <http://jupyter.org/> notebooks are a way of publishing scientific
results that include live code. We use notebooks to demonstrate the
functionality of BigBang, and put these in a directory of examples.

These notebooks pertain to some of your questions:

https://github.com/datactive/bigbang/blob/master/examples/experimental_notebooks/Plot%20Activity.ipynb

https://github.com/datactive/bigbang/blob/master/examples/experimental_notebooks/Threads.ipynb

Looking at them just now, I realize that there is a lot we could do to make
these notebooks more useful and usable!

I think I am not alone when I say that supporting research like yours is
high priority for BigBang. So any feedback on how we can make things more
useful to you would be most welcome. This includes any requests for better
documentation.

affordances are changing all the time.

One might flip the question around and ask: how can one operationalize the
questions you ask in terms of software scripts over available archival
data? And does the software include those scripts yet?
