Enjoy your holidays, teach your friends and family about online privacy,
and see you in January!
Our October talk/discussion on the EU GDPR was _fantastic_, and the UW
event space (Communications Building) worked out very well. Thanks again
to Salt for hosting us, to our speaker Michelangelo van Dam.
We hope to be back in January with another great talk(s) in the same space - more news
as it is made.
We are planning on trying out Cloudflare's new meetup sponsorship:
https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-wants-to-buy-your-meetup-group-pizza/
to give our ever-generous anonymous sponsor a bit of a break, and see how
it goes. There are a few things of which to be aware:
* They require a photograph of the group (presumably for their PR, and to
verify that you're not just buying pizza for your family or something).
The current plan is to handle this by having some (hopefully most) folks
opt-in to the photo, and to _encourage_ anyone to wear a mask for the photo, or
potentially turn your back, with or without a stylish hoodie.

Some paper masks will be supplied.
* They require a few marketing slides for Cloudflare. Pretty much any
sponsor will require this, so the organizers have generally agreed that
we're okay-enough with it.
