Subject: A privacy threat model for Seattlites
Hi Seattle Privacy,
I would like Seattle Privacy to be thinking about privacy more
holistically; what are the threats which exist? How are we, as
residents and citizens tracked, monitored or analyzed throughout the
day?
Towards that end, I'd like to come together to create a privacy threat
model for a "typical Seattleite," and see if we can model and categorize
the ways data are collected (for example, government vs
non-government, if there's a practical opt-out available).
This could lead to a few outcomes, including the model itself as a way
to think about new privacy intrusions, or about strategizing to
address existing intrusions. It could lead to thinking about more
holistic defenses.
I've reserved a room at the Delridge library on May 13 from 1-3 PM.
I'd love it if you could join us for a collaborative dig in to this
view of the privacy problem.
Adam
