Subject: [ConsortiumShare] MozFest Session Proposal Submission Deadline is TODAY!!!
Hello Everyone,
Apologies for not pinging you all sooner about this, but today (August 1st) is the deadline to submit session proposals for MozFest, the annual festival on promoting a healthy internet. MozFest takes place in London at Ravensbourne College from the 25th to the 27th of October. See: https://www.mozillafestival.org/en/proposals/
If you have a session idea and 10 minutes to submit it, best get to it! You have til the end of the day. The theme this year is “Healthy AI”, but don’t worry if you want to do a session that isn’t under that topic. Take a look at the spaces (tracks) https://www.mozillafestival.org/en/spaces/ and if you have work or a session that fits under any of those, I’d still go for submitting it. Just note that the Travel Stipend deadline past on July 1st, so sadly if you can’t get there under your own steam, that boat has sailed - though check out this post for some ideas: https://medium.com/mozilla-festival/funding-your-mozfest-adventure-3906e42900a2
I’ve got two session proposals submitted, one on ‘Knowledge Sharing to Strengthen Communities and Networks’ and the other on 'Building an Internet Health Movement' - if any of you are interested in being a part of either of those sessions do let me know.
Also, if you don’t want to submit a session, do consider going! It’s definitely worth your time. I’d also say that if you are feeling a bit doomed about the future and tech, attending MozFest will be a great antidote.
OH and also, full disclosure, along with the above sessions, I’ll be reprising my facilitator coaching/support duties at MozFest this year. Do ping me if you have any other questions about the event.
Hope to see you there,
Dirk
