Hello Contributors,

We are grateful to those who joined us for the round of contributors sessions on Thursday, April 3rd. As a result of those sessions, we now have a ‘process’ page on the website that describes how content gets onto the site—see: https://collectivepower.net/the-process/. Also, thanks to Jesse Mears for creating a diagram of the process.

We also got some excellent insights into what we should trial next. However, it was inconclusive (each session voted for different things, so I thought I would ask you all to weigh in.

A POLL

What might be your preference for what we will trial next for inclusion in the playbook?

a) This exercise on ‘User Personas’ - https://www.fabriders.net/user-personas/ - is an exercise I’ve been running for quite some time; it’s not one you do on your own, but might be coupled with either the ‘Community Solutions’ or ’The Epitaph’ - to try to understand better the key actors you need to engage.
b) Stakeholder mapping and power analysis exercises - https://www.fabriders.net/spectrogram-stakeholder-map/ coupled with https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GUcCZgtNrHZlDCTLhKs0nNQphNVUeDIxFRdH_zD-DcE/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.tim97hj2i9t0 - these are particularly helpful if you are trying to help your collectives identify effective strategies,
c) This is not an exercise, but the Session Design Canvas, https://www.fabriders.net/canvas-v1/. This is helpful if you need to develop a workshop or session using ADIDS.
d) Something else? Perhaps you’d like to trial an exercise that you find reliable for the playbook? We’d appreciate it if you could contribute something! (again, see The Process: https://collectivepower.net/the-process/)

Please respond before April 18th. Between now and then, I’m about to disappear to spend time with my extended family, so expect an announcement on what and when the following trials will be during the week of April 21st.

Thanks in advance!

- dirk
