Hello,
Firstly - thank you so much for subscribing to the list. This is my first post!
Secondly - here’s some updates:
- CollectivePower.Net <http://collectivepower.net/> is now live, and I am using that as an organising point for both content and convening.
- The discussion list is up and running. You can get updates, share and learn about how others are using the playbook - see: https://lists.ghserv.net/mailman/listinfo/play
- On February 1st at 4pm UTC, I’ll be holding the first ‘Contributors’ Session - I’d love to see you there if you are free. I’ll share some sample content and learn more about how people might want to contribute. Here’s the zoom link for registration: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZclc-CvpjkpHNIis_iQT9B_akSdYjSavjFk
I’ve had some great feedback so far, including that I should consider organising content by outcomes. So with that - here’s some questions for you:
- The people you are covering - How are they trying to build power?
- What are you hoping to accomplish when you bring them together?
OH - I’ve got new dates and times in February for The Session Design Lab and Facilitating Collective Power, which are both workshops that include exercises that will be included in the Playbook. I’m trying out running them twice for different time zones. So the week of Feb 13th - I’m running them at 10am UTC and then the week of Feb 20th I’m running them at 4pm UTC. If you are interested in participating, I’d be happy to send you instructions for registering for free. More details:
The Session Design Lab - https://www.fabriders.net/session-design-lab/
Facilitating Collective Power - https://www.fabriders.net/facilitating-collective-power/
Also, please feel free to share those links. There’s an ‘apply for scholarship’ link at the bottom of that page for anyone who finds the registration fee a barrier. I’ve never said ’no’ to a scholarship request.
I look forward to seeing you on Feb 1st. No worries if you can't make it - there will be more contributor sessions in thelet me know if you’d like a one-on- future, but do one to discuss the playbook (or anything else).
- dirk
